About Grid Lab
Grid Lab is a free browser Formula 1 game where you build your own driver from real F1 drivers.
Spin the reel and assign each driver you land on to one of nine attributes: pace, racecraft, consistency,
composure, car control, endurance, clutch, experience and frame. Then reveal the finished Overall.
Simulate the career to play it out season by season: land a seat, fight your teammate in qualifying,
stack Grand Prix wins, poles and podiums, take contract offers from faster teams, and chase the World
Championship. Rookie of the Year, the pole record, and the two records that matter, 105 wins and 7 titles,
are reachable if you build a good enough driver.
Ratings are derived from real race results, so qualifying position, places gained, points finishes,
fastest laps and retirements decide who is worth a slot. There's a daily challenge with the same cards for
everyone, a global leaderboard, and a card collection that fills in as you pull new drivers.
Frequently asked questions
Is GoatLab free to play?
Yes. Every game runs in your browser with no download and no payment. An optional account saves your builds, and optional extras exist, but the games themselves are free.
How do I cancel GoatLab Pro?
Go to goat-lab.app/cancel, sign in, and tap Cancel my subscription. Or open the Store, tap GoatLab Pro, then Cancel subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for and you are not charged again. Stuck? Email pitchergami@gmail.com and we will cancel it for you.
Do I need an account?
No. You can play, post scores and take on the daily challenge as a guest. Signing in with Google just saves your players to a personal Hall of Fame and carries your progress between devices.
Where do the driver ratings come from?
Attributes are derived from real Formula 1 results from the hybrid era: qualifying position and teammate head-to-heads feed pace, places gained feed racecraft, points finishes feed consistency, driver-fault retirements feed composure, and fastest laps feed car control. Retired greats appear as legend cards rated on their whole careers.
What can my driver win?
The career simulation includes Grand Prix wins, pole positions, podiums, fastest laps, Rookie of the Year, championship runner-up finishes, World Championships and the FIA Hall of Fame.
